Having trouble coming up with a holiday card design? If you are, then you’re in luck because self-service email provider MailChimp has recently launched a collection of holiday email templates to help you spruce up your email in time for the holidays. The holiday email templates, which are especially designed by the MailChimp team, feature a variety of seasonal images that include everything from snowman and penguin cartoons to snowflake and pine tree cutouts. Here is the step-by-step instruction on how to create a holiday email using MailChimp templates.
* Choose a holiday theme
The first step in creating a holiday email is to select the template that you want to use in your email. You have 10 holiday email templates to choose from: two of which have a Thanksgiving theme and the remaining eight have a Christmas/Hanukkah theme. To move on to the next step in creating a MailChimp holiday email, just click the “USE THIS ONE” button at the bottom the holiday email theme thumbnail of your choice.
* Tweak the email template
In the fields on top of the page, enter the text that you wish to see in the header of your holiday email. Because it is the “TWEAK YOUR TEMPLATE” step of the creative process, you can customize the text by choosing a specific font type and font size. To see what your holiday email looks like, click the “UPDATE” button below the header fields. If you are pleased with the layout of your holiday email, just click on the orange “DONE” button on the upper right side of the page.
* Send, download, or save the holiday email
After adding your personal touch to the holiday template of your choice, you have to decide what you want to do with your holiday email: send it, download it, or save it. If you want to send it, just enter your email address in the “SEND IT TO ME” field and you will receive your holiday email after a few seconds. To download, all you have to do is to click the “DOWNLOAD THE TEMPLATE” link on top of the “SEND IT TO ME” field. But if you want to save it to your MailChimp account, you just have to click on the “SAVE IT” button in the center of the page.
