How to Be More Productive When Using Your Email Account

The advancement of technology and advent of the Internet has led to the wide usage of email accounts. Many people now prefer to use email because of its convenience. Sending emails is free and there are many servers offering free email accounts. If you have your own free email accounts, then you most likely receive quite a number of emails everyday. Sorting and reading these emails may take up much of your time and cut down on your time for other activities. Below are some tips on how you can be more productive with the use of your email accounts.

* Mark or prioritize messages that are meant for you. While you receive a lot of emails, some of these may not necessarily be addressed directly to you. You can mark the emails that you need later on and delete those that you’ve already read and don’t need as reference in the future.

* If you receive a lot of spam emails in your inbox, mark them as spam so that your email client will recognize similar emails as spam too.

* Store forwarded emails in a folder in your email accounts so that you can read them at a later time. This way, forwarded emails won’t crowd your inbox and you can browse through the rest of the emails in your inbox that need more of your attention.

* Organize your contacts into groups. Although this may seem obvious, there are many people who don’t realize the benefits of grouping their contacts. You can save much time by organizing your contacts into groups and this also means you won’t forget to send a message to a person belonging to a group you’re sending emails to.
